Linen napkin suppliers: wholesale sources and early quotes from a real search
A US buyer needed fewer than 500 table napkins, 18 x 18 inches, in linen, cotton or polyester. Dov found 61 suppliers and contacted 43 of them. The mission is still running, so these are early results: what kinds of suppliers exist, the first quote, and what to put in your request.

The request
Table napkins, 18 x 18 inches, under 500 pieces, with four acceptable materials: 100% linen, 100% cotton, 100% polyester or a cotton/poly blend. Each material was to be quoted separately so they could be compared.
Who we found
61 suppliers: 47 in the USA, 4 in Lithuania, 4 in India, 3 in Pakistan and a few others. 43 received the RFQ so far and 5 have replied.
- US event and hospitality wholesalers. The largest group. They stock polyester and blended napkins, often sell in packs, and some have no minimum order.
- Linen makers in Lithuania. The Baltics are a known source of linen tableware. Expect higher prices than poly, and ask about lead time if the napkins are made to order.
- Cotton and towel manufacturers in India and Pakistan. Strong on cotton, usually with higher minimums and longer shipping times to the US.

What to put in your napkin RFQ
- Material and weight. "Linen" covers a wide range. Ask for the fabric weight so quotes compare like for like.
- Size and hem. State the finished size, and say whether a serged or folded hem is fine. On the first quote, the hem changed the price by 25%.
- Colour. Stock colours are cheaper and faster than custom dyeing.
- Quantity, MOQ and price breaks. Ask for the price at your quantity and at the next break (for example 500 pieces).
- Lead time and delivery. Give the delivery address and the date of your event.
